Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is leading anti-government long march towards Islamabad.

Pakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan was injured in a firing at his reception camp in Gujranwala town on Thursday.


After the incident, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry gave an interview to TV today and confirmed that the former prime minister was shot in the leg. He added that three other leaders were also injured.


According to media reports, Imran Khan was shot in the foot when he was leading a protest march towards Islamabad, but he was out of danger.

Faisal Javed Khan, one of the injured in the incident, a senior leader, said that one of his colleagues has also died, but Imran Khan's condition is out of danger.

Farrukh Habib, a senior member of Khan's party, also said that the former prime minister was injured. "The cowards have shown their time. Imran Khan is injured. May Allah protect him. The whole nation should pray for Imran Khan's life," 


Reacting to the incident, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the firing in Gujranula, Allahwala Chowk and sought an immediate report on the incident. Nawaz Sharif directed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah to seek immediate report from IG Police and Chief Secretary Punjab.

According to Geo TV, there was firing at Imran Khan's reception camp in Gujranwala's Allahwala Chowk. Pakistan's former prime minister is leading a long anti-government march towards Islamabad.
